Hii everyone,
I know this may seem like an amateur question ... but I'll still ask anyway. I was looking through a Harry & Davids catalog one day a few months ago and they had Valentine Day cookie bouquets and they were simply decorated but they were soo beautiful. Anyway, the icing looked like it was fondant... not like buttercream. My question is... is it possible to cover cookies with fondant and how does it stick to the cookie?
Thankies!

Yes, you can definitely cover cookies with fondant. It is really easy because you can cut the fondant out with the same cookie cutter you used for the cookies. I do it a lot. There are a couple of ways to do it:
Roll the fondant out pretty thin then....
1. Put the fondant on the cookies as soon as they come out of the oven. The heat from the cookie with slightly melt the fondant and make it stick.
- or -
2. After the cookies have cooled you can brush them very lightly with piping gel or corn syrup then put the fondant on.
Then you can go ahead and decorate with royal icing, glace or whatever else you would like.

This has been my favorite way to decorate lately!! I attach my fondant with thinned down royal icing (but you can use what Cindy suggested if you don't have any RI made up, I usually do).
