Hey Everyone! Here is the recipe several of you asked for:
1 Pkg plain white cake mix
1 cup 2%milk
1 stick butter, melted
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1. Preheat oven to 350*.
2. Grease & flour pans (I use cake release).
3. Mix all ingredients in mixing bowl on low speed for 1 minute.
4. Stop mixer & scrape down sides of bowl.
5. Mix on medium speed for 2 minutes or more if needed.
6. Pour batter in 2-8" or 2-9" pans.
7. Bake cake about 27 minutes or till toothpick inserted comes out clean.
8. Let cool 30 minutes before icing.
ICING: Cinnamon Buttercream Icing
1 stick butter, at room temp
1 lb bag confectioner's sugar
3 to 4 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Add all ingredients & mix well until everything is mixed well.

My daughter's beloved Athletic trainer/PTA loves snickerdoodle cookies, so, since she and I will be unable to see him for the next couple of weeks, I made this delicious cake for him. I made a small one for my family so they could also try it. It was a huge hit! I can't wait to give him his! This is a great recipe, Tina, thanks for sharing.

That is one of the cakes that a tea house I bake for asks for quite a bit. People just LOVE it. I don't think many folks bake the snickerdoodle cookies much anymore, and it is a taste that brings back memories for a lot of folks!
I just printed this recipe out and cannot wait to try it. I absolutely love snickerdoodle cookies and the cinnamon buttercream alone sounds YUMMY.
