How did you do that? Do you make the Jello as usual but with milk instead of water? What flavor Jello do you use to keep it white? How does it taste? I think it's amazing you can do that with jello! It looks just like a cake.
Wow!! I think that is so cool! What a fantastic idea!! I would love to know how she did that.
Hey ya'll, I don't think the icing is jello. I think it's just the cake. Haven't ya'll heard of jello cakes? You pour 1/2 the cake batter in your pan, sprinkle 1/2 a pkg of any flavor jello, then pour rest of batter on that, then pour rest of jello on top. If I'm wrong sorry!! ~TC~
Thanks for clarifying that for me, TC! I surely thought that she meant it was the icing. I have never even heard of Jello cakes before. See, you learn something new everyday.
Tanya
Jello cakes are very good!! All you do is do your normal cake mix, add 1 cup sour cream (I forgot about that last night) put 1/2 your batter in your pan, then add 1/2 your jello, then add the other 1/2 of batter, then sprinkle the last bit of jello on. It is very, very good! You can use any jello flavor you want. I like the strawberry or lime when I make them. I make a glaze out of powder sugar & drizzle it over the top. Oh, I usually use a bundt pan. But I guess you can use any pan. Never used BC on it. I love tasting the jello! Try it!!
I could be wrong about the icing. Nejiad will clear it up when she sees the post.
That sounds yummy yummy! I'll have to try it!
I think nejiad did it with all jello though. Look at this

It looks like white jello that's been painted on!
nejiad posted two yesterday. They're listed under Photo Gallery > Birthday Cakes > Children's Birthday Cakes. One is dora and the other is Pooh.
How would you get white jello Lisa? I don't know what she's referring to the icing or cake. I wish she'd get online & check this. We have to keep chatting about it so it will be current so she'll see it!
Good thing I could share the jello cake with ya'll!! It is really good!!
Ok, I found this under one of jello cakes that neijiad posted- hope it helps and maybe neijiad can clarify it, it's her answer to the question under the pic that someone asked on how to do this.

I think she made the jello with milk. One of the pics says milk jello. I have no idea how to make white jello--LOL! Help nejiad...
I don't know if it's because i'm slow today , but I don't understand the instruction from Nejiad.
The way I understand : She put Jell-o over the cake , then wax paper and then paint the wax paper.
But I'm sure it not it.
Can someone help me pretty please ?
Annie
So, I gather that we are all still confused here? I looked at her instructions, too, and couldn't make heads or tails of it. I hope that she gets back on soon to help us out. Because I think the pics look great!

I am glad that all of you loved my jelloton of pooh! With my pleasure I will give you lady's the recipe of Milk Jello!!
4 cups of Milk
30 grams of non-flavor Gelatine( roughly 4 packs of Knox original Gelatine)
2 cups of regular Sugar
1 tea spoon of vanilla(or flavor that you prefer)
Preparation: Put the unflavored Gelatine in 1 cup of milk, the other tree cups of milk, put in a pot and dissolve the sugar. Then put the pot in the stove on the fire. Dont let it boil. When its about to boil, turn off the fire, add the vanilla and mix. And the last step, put the unflavored gelatine until it dissolves completly. Put it in the mold that you choose, and let it get cold, and then put it in the fridge
PS. Grease the mold before you put in the gelatine with Pam spray.
Then when the gelatine is ready take it out of the mold, and put it in the cardboard were your going to decoreate it. With your drawing allready traiced in the wax paper, put it over the gelatine until its drawn the picture in the gelatine. Take off the wax paper. Start paintin the picture with Wilton Colors, and brushes.

Thanks for sharing Alexa with us!!! Sending blessings for you, Alexa, & your family!! She is going to have lots of love & get spoiled big time with all the men in the family!! While I'm talking about your family... where are you from? I love your name too. Talk to you soon~ ~Tina~
Congratulations new mommy! I just love the new ones...I cant see why you cant be online too!!!!!
THANK TOU FOR ALL YOR WORDS,I AM FROM MEXICO,MAZATLAN,AND MY MOM CHOOSE MY NAME FROM A BOOK. SOMETIMES I CAN'T IN TO THE FORUMS BECAUSE I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL MY BABY GOES TO SLEEP.AND SOMETIMES I FEL TO SLE EP WITH HER TOO.
We understand! Moms have to get their sleep when the baby sleeps~ I'm sure you need all the sleep you can get!
I'm not a new mom at all, and I still try to sleep when my boys are.....14, 7 and 5! Yeah I know, at night....no...if they are sick or taking a nap (which they do from time to time) I do also... but Nej NEEDS the sleep for sure!
I found out my daughter was allergic to eggs when she was 18 mos old so for her second birthday, I made her a gelatin Elmo cake. The Elmo is the same as gelatin wigglers but the bottom cake is a milk gelatin.
I'll attach the picture here and if you want the instructions...I think it was in the Wilton 2004 yearbook, then I'll PM them to you. Unless there is an overwhelming response and I'll just post them.
Enjoy:
P.S. Congrats on the little one Neijad...my youngest is 6 mos old. I should be napping right now!!!

suzyqqq27...that is one great Jello Elmo! I'm am going to rememebr that. I already have visions of all my character cakes as Jellos instead--LOL!
OMG, I love that idea. My niece Sydney would too. Elmo is her favorite.
Would you please share the recipe for the milk gelatin?
I would love to make it for her.
Very cute!! I think kids would like jello more then they would like regular cake anyway! Good job!! ~TC~
