How did you do that? Do you make the Jello as usual but with milk instead of water? What flavor Jello do you use to keep it white? How does it taste? I think it's amazing you can do that with jello! It looks just like a cake.

Hey ya'll, I don't think the icing is jello. I think it's just the cake. Haven't ya'll heard of jello cakes? You pour 1/2 the cake batter in your pan, sprinkle 1/2 a pkg of any flavor jello, then pour rest of batter on that, then pour rest of jello on top. If I'm wrong sorry!! icon_smile.gif ~TC~

Thanks for clarifying that for me, TC! I surely thought that she meant it was the icing. I have never even heard of Jello cakes before. See, you learn something new everyday.

Jello cakes are very good!! All you do is do your normal cake mix, add 1 cup sour cream (I forgot about that last night) put 1/2 your batter in your pan, then add 1/2 your jello, then add the other 1/2 of batter, then sprinkle the last bit of jello on. It is very, very good! You can use any jello flavor you want. I like the strawberry or lime when I make them. I make a glaze out of powder sugar & drizzle it over the top. Oh, I usually use a bundt pan. But I guess you can use any pan. Never used BC on it. I love tasting the jello! Try it!!

I could be wrong about the icing. Nejiad will clear it up when she sees the post.

I don't know if it's because i'm slow today , but I don't understand the instruction from Nejiad.
The way I understand : She put Jell-o over the cake , then wax paper and then paint the wax paper.
But I'm sure it not it.

I am glad that all of you loved my jelloton of pooh! With my pleasure I will give you lady's the recipe of Milk Jello!!

4 cups of Milk

30 grams of non-flavor Gelatine( roughly 4 packs of Knox original Gelatine)

2 cups of regular Sugar

1 tea spoon of vanilla(or flavor that you prefer)

Preparation: Put the unflavored Gelatine in 1 cup of milk, the other tree cups of milk, put in a pot and dissolve the sugar. Then put the pot in the stove on the fire. Dont let it boil. When its about to boil, turn off the fire, add the vanilla and mix. And the last step, put the unflavored gelatine until it dissolves completly. Put it in the mold that you choose, and let it get cold, and then put it in the fridge

PS. Grease the mold before you put in the gelatine with Pam spray.

Then when the gelatine is ready take it out of the mold, and put it in the cardboard were your going to decoreate it. With your drawing allready traiced in the wax paper, put it over the gelatine until its drawn the picture in the gelatine. Take off the wax paper. Start paintin the picture with Wilton Colors, and brushes.

I hope you can understand these directions, I havent been able to get online and check the messages, I was busy with my newly born baby, and my cakes.I hoped i helped you out and understood these directions, and I cant wait to see your gelatines online!! icon_biggrin.gif

I found out my daughter was allergic to eggs when she was 18 mos old so for her second birthday, I made her a gelatin Elmo cake. The Elmo is the same as gelatin wigglers but the bottom cake is a milk gelatin.

I'll attach the picture here and if you want the instructions...I think it was in the Wilton 2004 yearbook, then I'll PM them to you. Unless there is an overwhelming response and I'll just post them.

Enjoy:

P.S. Congrats on the little one Neijad...my youngest is 6 mos old. I should be napping right now!!!
