I am so upset right now. My 6 year old went to get a juice from our garage fridge 2 hours ago and left it open! We live in AZ where it was almost 90 degrees today! I am making a friend's 4 tier wedding cake for tomorrow and was about to fondant them and now my cakes are warm!!! I think that they will be okay, but I don't have the time tonight to be waiting hours for them to chill!!!
Just needed to vent... =0( |

They'll be fine. But you've probably covered them right now and they are beautiful but I KNOW your heart sunk when you discovered it....hate that moment!!!
Best wishes! |

Thanks, yeah the cakes did just fine. It was really no big deal, but it was one of those moments where it all just seems like too much.

Thanks all! It is a damask stencil with royal icing. I think I used about 1/2 a roll of painters tape masking off this thing. It took forever! That was why I was so upset because I knew it would take a long time.
It all worked out though. 3 cakes down this weekend 1 to go! =0) |

What a gorgeous, gorgeous cake!!!! Just so you know, if and when it comes time to replace that frig, they now make models that sound an alarm when the door's left open. |
