WOW what a great idea! I appreciate you giving credit to ShirleyW for inspiring your work. My hubby will turn the big 4-0 next year and I would love to do this for his cake! I just got inspired to top it with his favorite chocolate covered strawberries, as well. |

THANK GOD FOR PICTURES. Coming from someone with no idea how to put words into practice the pictures and wording to them are easy!! THANKS... I have actually done something like this before.
But... I used grease(Baking) paper I cut it to the height of the cake and layed the paper down on a board. After melting my chocolate I get Flat white chocolates (Nestle White Chocolate Melts) or you can simply make your own (They are flat circles) I scatter a pattern of white chocolates on the baking paper and then pour the Melted milk chocolate over the white, then spread along the grease paper. "Attempting not to move the white chocs... =]
After leaving for 30sec (Just so its not Runny) I place the chocolate and paper around the cake, as shown in the pictures in this thread, and then i sticky tape and refrigerate.
You can make all cool designs using the different chocolate sorts |

Just click on the picture you want and then click on it again and it will magnify. |

OK try this. Right click on the pictures and save to your desk top as a JPEG. You should be able to magnify them then. |

Been wanting to try this, need to find acetate rolls large enough. It was posted in a thread once, and probably is a topic in this one but I don't have time to read the whole thing yet, gotta go to work soon! |
