We'll be celebrating my DD's 14th b-day this Saturday, and I am having trouble envisioning a cake for her. Her favorite color is orange, and she likes blue as well. She also likes ladybugs and turtles, but not really girly stuff. The cake needs to serve about 20 (I have 8 children, so if there ends up being too much cake, that's not a problem!). Any ideas would be most welcome!

Hmmmmm...

How about a tierd cake, blue buttercream and orange fondant polka dots..scatter in some lady bugs sitting on the polka dots - just little ones - and have a turtle as the topper...

Overlap some of the polka dots, do them different sizes too.

Your turtle could be in front of a cake jewelery spray of glittery polka dots.

Just an idea - HTH

Smile

How about a tiered cake either iced or fondant covered in a light blue for the sky, some orange flowers, and add some ladybugs and turtles to it. Good Luck.

I like Jamie's idea... Use an 8" or 10" round. Just one tier, make it all blue add a bit of grass around the bottom and sides with some larger orange flowers growing up the sides. Then add some lady bugs and small turtles crawling around in the grass, and maybe a large fondant turtle as a topper

Oops! I forgot to mention that she doesn't want flowers!

All your ideas sound wonderful! Thanks!
