I saw your meet-up group on-line recently. I am in CT and was lookind for a similar group here, but your club was the closest... unfortunately still too far for me. I thought of starting my own meet-up group in CT Can I contact you to find out how you run your group? Thanks. |

I don't know if its just that I'm cheap, poor or both, LOL
But I just looked at the online registration page again and noticed all the fees. Does anyone know what all those fees are for? |

Go to the site posted. If I recall correctly, general admission by itself is just $10. That's if you don't take any of the classes. Each class has a different price tag on it, so you have to go in to the site to check them all out. |

yes, there is a seperate price for the classes, but there is also an extra cost to see the demos. So the low entrance fee I think just gets you in the door. You'll have access to vendors and to view the entries to the various competitions, but I don't think much more than that.
I'm guessing a lot of the money is paid to all the known cake decotators that are hosting demos or classes. |

My DH and I are planning to go. It's about a two hour drive. Probably won't take any classes, but plan to buy tickets for the cake challenge and if all goes well we will stay the weekend. |

I'm going...I'm also attending the live competition...that should be fun. I also entered myself in a couple of categories. From all I've heard...it sounds like it's the start of a huge annual event.. |
