Hi everyone,
how long do cake scraps and uniced cake layers last in the fridge? I was going to make some cake balls, that's why I kept them, but now I'm not sure if they are still okay? Anyone?
Thanks, P

If they were uncovered, check them to see if they are dry. If they were covered or in a ziplok, they should be fine unless they're starting to mold or something. Very Happy How long have they been in there? If you're just going to moosh 'em up in cake balls anyway .....

The cake scraps are in topeware container and unused cake layer is wrapped in plastic. I baked cake Sunday night, and just did not get to the leftovers yet, was wondering if I can still use them. They are not dry and I do not see any mold or smell anything funky, but wanted to ask experts first. These will be served to people other than my family. So, what da ya think?

Perfect, thanks a bunch! I'll get them mixed up and formed tonight and stick them in the freezer, they should be ready to cover in chocolate on Saturday,
Thanks again, P

Why don't you put it in the freezer?

Yep, next time you have leftovers, just throw them in the freezer and then you won't have to worry about them going bad.
