I'm planning on spending my Christmas money on a Dobord (woo hoo!), and was hoping to get some input on the best place to buy one. No one in town seems to carry them, so it means going on-line. I'd love to hear from anyone who can point me in the right direction.

Cake n' Crumbs sells these, I really want one of these too but they are so expensive.

Thin4life...what a great site recommendation I can't believe it's only $61!! I paid $80 for mine! Gemini...you should jump on that one. I've had one for two years now and have to say I love it so much I'd pay $200 for it if I had to!! The site did say you can also use it as a cutting board but I would never, ever, ever use it for that. Treat it well and it should last forever. They're built really well. Good luck and have fun with it!!

Ditto from me as well on the site recommendation thin4life! They have some neat stuff.
Is it too early to break my New Year's resolution of showing some restraint when it comes to cookie cutters/gadgets? I think I am going to have to try to find some support group-like cookie cutters anonymous!

I did not know what the Dobord was so I looked up the website. I never saw it before but i kind of had the same idea, I went to TAP plastics and had them cut up 3 different thicknesses on food grade plastic in the shape of a picture frame, it is really handy I just place it on my silicone mat, place the dough in the middle and roll it out. I found it easier to use than the dowels or the pastry sticks. Make sure if you have them made up that your rolling pin fits on it. I think mine is about 9 inches and the frame itself is 1.5 inches wide. They are easy to clean, I have had mine for about 6 months, I have also stacked and double sided taped two together for thicker dough.

Does anyone have a business or tax id#? You can order from them directly, if you do but the minimum is 6. But you would get them at wholesale. I am sure you could get 5 other people to take one, I would for sure.

Wonderful! It was mentioned on another post that SurLaTable carried the Dobord, but that wasn't the case for the store in Omaha. I saw the CakenCrumbs site and noticed the great price, but was wondering if anyone had any experience ordering from this company.

I'm pretty sure I got mine from Armchair World. I only bought one so there must not be a minimum with them. Still can't believe the price!

The Dobord showed up one week after ordering, and I used it for the first time this weekend. (See the Valentine Flamingo cookie I posted). I hadn't realized how much quicker it would be to roll the dough out...no fussing over whether the thickness was "right". I look forward to using this tool over and over!

I ordered one from Cake n' Crumbs and my total was also $71.03. If anyone else orders from this company please choose Kendra Arch as your instructor. I have met her along with the owner of this company and they are both very nice people. They are trying to grow this company so any business you can throw their way would be great. Thank you.

I ordered from Armchair World Company Store, it was a few bucks less, but mostly because they take Paypal and I had a credit in my account to use up. Mine was $59.50 / $70.25 after shipping. It is expensive, but I've rolled out so much cookie dough over the last few weeks having something to make the entire process easier I am all over it!! I can't wait!

I roll out my dough between two long dowel rods to get uniform thickness. Is this really that much better?!!?

It really is. I'd a never thought it but it's awesome. It's one of those cake toys you really don't ever have to have (like a turntable) but boy oh boy when you get it you wonder how you ever made it though life without it.

Even using rolling pin rings, I never got really perfect dough thickness. With the DoughBord, I do! And I hadn't realized how much time it would save me, since I wasn't constantly fussing with trying to make sure it was evenly rolled. I can also roll out a larger amount of dough at a time, as the roller is quite a bit bigger than my old one. LOVE my DoughBord!

I could not agree more, got mine last week and spent all weekend making Valentine's cookies. I LOVE my doboard and can't believe how simple it makes the whole process. All of my friends want their own now too! It is wonderful.

I'll be making about 200 cookies for my niece's wedding in the fall, and I'm actually not dreading the baking process anymore! My sister and niece want to help, so I think having the Dobord will make it a whole lot easier for them to do that. So easy, even a novice can make perfectly even cookies!

I got mine several months ago and I love it to death. I will now make decorated cookies for no reason at all, because it's really no trouble......as opposed to before, when I had to have some motivation to want to go through the hassle of dealing with the dough. I have used it for all manner of dough projects in addition to cookies too. And the clean up is a breeze. Love that thing! Now if I only had cupboard big enough to store it in........
