I had to do this recently, and my sweet husband found a glue/adhesive especially for styrofoam at Hobby Lobby....sorry I don't remember the name of the product, but it did work well. HTH Not sure if you want to reuse them, this may not be the way to go? |

you could use a dollop of royal icing, and then when its covered with fondant a snail trail around the edge of it also helps to hold it in place |

I use regular BC and just put the iced tiers on top of each other. My icing, when put on styrofoam, hardens like concrete so they adhere just fine. I have tiered cakes that I've had for 1-2 years, they've made numerous trips to demos and bridal shows and they hold up just fine.
I can't think of any instance where you'd have to dowel a dummy. I never use tape, glue or anything special.
Just 'slap it together' and go. |

I use royal it dries fast and rock hard and if you want to re-use a soak in warm water melts it so there are no marks on the dummy. |

I do like Indydebi and my bc makes my tiers stick together. If my bc has crusted over too much, I'll gently mist the center with a bit of water. Works great. |
