Hi there, My friend called me yesterday requesting a cake for her Father that will be turning 60 very soon .. She is throwing him a Party at the end of September . She doesn't know what she wants as the main design ...so i'm taking it on myself to figure out the design for her . All I know about this Man is that he works with Houses (Jack of all trades) ...painting , plastering , construction , He loves his beer and a Real Jokester.

Can someone Help me with Ideas for him .

Thanks

Julie

How about the cake being a mug of beer? You can make it 3-d (stack up 6" or 8"rounds) or 2-d using a sheet cake (round off the corners & add a (fondant?) handle).

Thanks for the idea ... but i think i really want to stay clear of the beer thing . It's not a very popular thing for the Family ...if you get what I mean.

I'd search for Father's day cakes, there's lots of cool ideas in there with tools and things. Otherwise, I like the ones that have edible image photos around each tier of different stages of life, sort of like a scrap book.

I almost qualified my suggestion as I don't like to go w/a drinking theme either Smile
Hope you find just the right idea.

How about a toolbox with tools?

Don't know how much you're wanting to do, but I think these are cute.

This one is "female" but gives you an idea.
