The filling is for after the key lime cc's are baked and cooled. Pipe it in or use an apple corer and make a hole and fill. Makes them especially yummy! It is the same filling that goes into the Key Lime Coconut cc's. Kind of tart which goes great with the sweet cc. |

Like Grandma G said--the filling goes inside of the cupcakes.
When you combine the milk and juice it will firm up and make it easy to pipe into the cake. |

Honestly guys I've never made them before. I did a search and this was the only one I found that didnt have coconut...per the customer request. I kinda got lost at the filling as well...but it sounded good so I posted it as well.
ETA: I missed those last 2 posts. It sounds great! |

I was happy with the way the diploma turned out doing it that way. Thought you would want to know since you are also trying different ways with the Edible Images to ! Ok back to cuppys ! |
Well I stopped getting notices again! Grrrrr! I love the cake! So what did you use to attach the two? I have had trouble with my printer, finally called 1-800 to the Kopykake and the tech said I needed chips so I got those this morn and it worked, but your color just seems more vivid than mine ever has! Anyway my best fried is having a class reunion meeting and we were trying to see about an image for a cake for refreshments!

Thanks Linda ! I didnt use anything. I let the Gumpaste dry for a while and while it was still a little moist I just layed the EI on it and it stuck right to it. Worked great . And Thanks for the comment you left. |

I just finished some practice cupcakes for a wedding shower that is coming up. Vanilla caramel cake with milk chocolate chips, vanilla buttercream icing with candy sprinkles. I also made the wrap from a 10" doily. Whoever had the idea to use the doily for the wraps is a genius!! It won't let me post the pic so here's the link.

Ok, now I got it.. the acid sours the milk and causes it to solidify? That makes sense.. these sound good.. I will try them..
thanks! |

Wanted opinions...got an order for a retirement party. The gentleman is retiring from the local newspaper, so I'm doing a wasc cake filled with whipped chocolate ganache and shaped to look like a rolled up newspaper. It will be covered in fondant. (God help me...1st shaped cake) Along with that order, the client was 2 doz each of 3 other flavors of cupcakes (6 doz total). 2 of the flavors were requested: key lime (with MMF fish on top...his favorite hobby) and my banana cream (with fondant "newspapers" on top to fit the theme). The 3rd is up to me. Was thinking of strawberry cupcakes with chocolate covered strawberries on top. What do you think? Any tips on carving the cake?
Oh...and was planning on using the 4 oz nutcups for the cupcakes to make them look a little nicer. |

hallfamily727.. I did see your thread on the newspaper cake ,Sorry I just didnt have an answer on putting that fondant in the fridge. Your Idea of the strawberry ones sound good.Of course you can also add a choc flavor to and cant go wrong ! Some one here was looking for the 4oz nut cups, Where do you find that size ? |
