I am new to using fondant, I have made mmf a couple of times and like working with it and would like to move forward in using it. My question is do any of you use molds when shaping things? Or do you do it all by hand? If you do use molds, what kind do you use? ones specifically for fondant, clay molds, candy molds, ect? thanks for any info you can help with.

All of the above. lol As long as it's food-safe, almost anything will work. I find the candy molds a little hard to use sometimes. I've recently bought quite a few molds from First Impressions and love them! You can use their molds for fondant, gumpaste, chocolate, etc.

Many people use molds.

how do you use these? do you put all one color fondant and somehow color it or do you do each color seperately?

Also, have you used the push molds for the polymer clay and if so same question above- how do you layer the colors?

thanks
