Crying or Very sad I need flat for decorating - I will try the NoFail, but I hate to waste TEN pkgs... Sad Any secrets? I bake at 325...I refrigerate the cut outs before baking... help?

Sorry, I can't help with your problem.

But so you don't waste those mixes....

Cookies recipes that start with BC cookie mix:

(There were too many recipes for me to pick out just the ones that started with sugar cookie mix.)

Additional doctored sugar cookie mix recipes:

(Snickerdoodles use BC sugar cookie mix.)

you can try adding 1/2 -1 cup more flour to the mix and see if that helps...

You can decorate the back side of the cookie, which will be flat. Otherwise, I agree with bonniebakes about adding some additional flour.

On the package (somewhere) there are instructions for making cookie cutter cookies and you add extra flour, if it's not on that package you can go to the web and they should tell you. I have used them but my very most fav is the NFSC.

Adding flour & chilling before rolling out & then again before baking might help. I use them a lot in emergency situations (like a few weeks ago when I needed a batch & didn't have any butter). Also try flavoring them. I like to add some lemon juice to the dough. It really makes them pop. Smile

Thanks ladies! I'll try a bit more flour - I have done the flip over and decorate the back thing, too Wink
