I'm trying to get a deep burgundy color out of whipped cream buttercream and it's not working! I've used a lot of Wilton's burgundy color so far and it still looks like a deep, ugly mauve. What else can I try???

Wish I could remember exactly how I got a deep burgundy once...I think I started with Wilton, which only gave me a deep raspberry (what is THAT?) and then I know I added some royal blue, and possibly some black.

Take like a TB of the icing out and mix some other colors to it and see what you get. It's a hard one.
