I'm not really from any one place, but I spent the longest time growing up in a little town called Land O'Lakes, Florida. No, not where they make the butter!

After reading this post and the post about ICES in Florida, I am definately going to Chicago next summer, with my husband (he loves golf), and hopefully I'll meet some of you!!

I am also planning on going to the American Bakery Expo, in Atlantic city, September 21-23, and then we are going to New York City!! First time for both places....
While I have all your attention, where shall we go while visiting these cities??

Hi, Jen here! I'm in Dalmatia, PA...about 40 minutes north of Harrisburg.

Hello, I was born and raised in Ocala, Florida. I actually live in Orange Springs which is 25 miles from Palatka, 26 miles from Ocala, 30 miles from Gainesville (GO GATORS!!) and 60 miles from Daytona Beach.

Cyndi1207 - How did you weather the storm? Did you find everything ok? We go through so many hurricanes and tropical storms I can empathize. I will be praying for you. |

Well we got home to find our kid's rooms completely saturated. There's some roof damage and we no longer have any trees.........they were litterally ripped from the ground. HOWEVER.......we're safe and things are exactly that.........just things. So for that I'm happy and it could have been so much worse as I've been watching on the news.
I always see Florida right in the Hurricane's path. Hopefully it'll be a safe season for you and the rest of the Floridians and everyone else in the paths. It's scary........thanks for your concern. |
