Has anyone tried doing this? I'm thinking about using white mountain icing as decor on top of a fondant covered cake, but I'm worried it might aversely affect the cake surface (making it watery or sticky, etc). Any info on this would be greatly appreciated, Thanks |

Kind of, I was actually thinking if I could use it to mimic the frothy splash created at the bottom of a waterfall. The waterfall would end at the top of the next cake layer I'd have (i.e., if waterfall starts from the top layer, it would cascade down to the 2nd cake layer),hope you get my idea |

7 minute frosting (white mountain frosting) won't be good for intricate borders... if beaten rather stiffly it MIGHT hold a shell.. but don't hold me to that... I make a lot of the stuff... |
