Thanks amia!
No I don't mind at all. I just thought it was funny that I hadn't been on all day and I checked my pics and it had jumped from 56 to 189! So I was just wondering how that could be? LOL!
I noticed the comment was removed- thanks! It really was annoying
I just hope I don't get a little paranoid from this! |

Don't be paranoid! Your work is beautiful! I don't know why people go out of their way to be mean. It's so much easier to just be nice. |

I don't have time to read the whole thing but I did check your work and ALL your work is beautiful, don't let a tasteless comment ruin your day! People should know that if they have nothing nice to say better say nothing at all. "To foolish words deaf ears". |

I am so sorry this happen to you! I am kinda new to all this but, I do not make a cake without getting on cake central and looking for ideas! I thought that was kinda the idea? It is so easy to look at something and think, that would be a cool cake (or cookie) I was at the mall yesterday and looked at a kids toy that was a tree and thought "that would be a cool cake". Do not let one person who is just mean make you doubt yourself or take away from your excellent accomplishment!

Jen, I just viewed your gallery and please, please don't let one ignorant person get to you. You do beautiful work! I just did my first sugar run-in piece and that technique is a lot of work. I soon found out that I need a lot more practice!!! I also left you a comment on your fireman cupcake display!! It is fantastic!
Best regards,

zenu,
I'm so glad you adorable cookies got more views! (loved those!)
I didn't want to presume to include your name, but I was refering to you with respect to the 'others' that got rude comments!
I remember someone getting a 'boring' comment on an extrodinary wedding cake.
thanks again to all of you!
and I hope this helps anyone else that might find this sort of nastiness on their work. |

Copying a design as an insperation is totally acceptable, and we probably all do it, but making a retarded comment as if she's perfect and walks on water who "never copies" , is just plain dumb and stupid. And NO, don't let it go, we are enjoying this too much !! sounds like this person is mentally impaired and needs a Lobotomy . maybe stick a cookie up her you know what !! your cookies are PERFECT and it bothers that "thing" who made that comment, so maybe make more of it and show this "thing" how talented you are !! |

I was wondering that myself. The only explaination I could come up with is: Jen stated that she got the idea from her daughter's coloring book page, so I'm guessing she cut out the design and used that as a template for cutting the cookie dough. Is that correct? |

She's a hag who doesn't have a life nor the talent to do these beautiful cookies.
It's really unfortunate when someone has to put down another person to make themselves feel better. Me thinks she needs to get bitten in the a$@ by a filthy nasty dog lol. |

Jen, For a long time I stopped coming to CC because of thes snide remarks. I've been back for about 2 months now and am dissapointed that this still seems to go on. I saw another post here regarding Cake Divas' creations. I wonder sometime what went in someone's childhood that would make them be so rude. I think it would help everyone who wants to think or say a mean thing to take pause and think about others the world over who are really, really, struggling right now and put that into perspective. It's time for everyone to be more conscience of others' feelings. |

Kind of rotten to start burning bridges as you never know when you someone's thoughts or help....we all will remember that name. I agree with fearless baker about the comments though. It's cake decorating not world politics! We should celebrate cake and icing, not fight over it!
The cookies were great loved the colors! |

The one thing that did strike me though, was how easy it was to find this person's website via google. I thought, hmmm...you log onto CC and make no posts, post no cake pictures, and only go around making rude comments on other's photos...and yet use your REAL business name?? And your rude comments involve copyrighted characters, which you yourself make?? Usually when people want to be nasty (for no reason) on the internet they don't use their real name!! Something seems fishy to me.
Not that I specifically want to exonerate Joni's but...couldn't she herself be a victim of the hoax too? I.e. some nasty person (or just a stupid prankster, hacker, whatever) likes to log onto CC using names of established businesses, just to whip people into a frenzy... I always wonder if it was a former CCer who was at some time flamed for something to do with copyright characters, and who periodically logs in under an assumed name just to make hurtful comments to random people.
Just a thought! Either way it's downright obnoxious and I'm sorry you had to endure it. |
