Maybe this has already been discussed, but with 200 plus pages on here I have no idea! I tried a recipe for a cake mix plus pudding and I got a really nice fluffy cupcake with a perfect dome. Unfortunately, I wanted a cupcake that is a little more dense and moist and mostly flat on top for a better decorating surface. If there's already something on here about this please let me know- If not, any ideas are appreciated. (p.s.- am I crazy for not liking light fluffy cupcakes??)

For the Double Doozie cake you just want to bake your giant cookies a teeny bit under done so they stay a little soft, then make a thin-ish layer of BC in the middle. These are straight from hell, that's how good they are. They make me weak!!

Fiddlestick, thanks, yes I did see that and I picked up some scrapbooking sheets at HL last week! Wrapping paper would do the same once you get your pattern cut.

Happy 2 weeks old Zach!!! How ya feeling Mel? I can feel your crankines from not being able to bake. Someone send this girl a cuppy care package since my mixer and pans and everything else is packed .
Sarsi...Even though you posted it for Mel...I'll be happy to try it in a couple of weeks. The kids love angel cake for their strawberry shortcakes.

Valli_War I made this topping this morning and my DH just got out of work(about 6 hours later) and I've had them on my counter and they are still there nice and pretty. I don't recommend doing this if you are selling them but I made them for my family so they are on the counter so that they can get as they please and they look the same and taste the same. Hope this helps.
