Wow! Sounds like your cake is going to be well-traveled! Hope that all goes well for you.
Yes, I won't have too much hair to worry about if this keeps up  --besides getting a late start, I keep questioning my idea and contemplating changes. But I know it's all going to be a lot of fun in the end. I'm really looking forward to the demos and seeing all of the cakes in the contest.

I've been pretty firm on my idea since the start, with tweaks here and there, but I worry that I'm in WAY above my head.. now to try and tackle the attached form... think I'll need more space... |

Thanks emrldsky- hope you get to check it out, but I know it would be a long trip for you. (My brother lives in Lafayette)
If anyone is interested in meeting, and can't find their ribbon, I'll bring some extra.
Stephanie, any luck finding something? I haven't had time to take a look, but will try before we leave in the morning.
Oh! We'll be leaving in the morning... which means no internet until MAYBE Tuesday!!! Can we say WITHDRAWAL?!? But I'll try to check in later next week to see what's up with everyone, or if you're really bored, you can look me up in Hebron.

I found a list of places to eat but I might not be able to get there until the afternoon for the demonstrations. (My husband has to work) If you still want the list I'll pm it to you. I'll still be wearing my pink and green ribbons though! Hope to see some of you there! |

Thanks Stephanie! I hope that your folks visit went well! If you like, we can just wait to go.... I haven't heard from KonfectionKonnection in a while, I guess she's keeping busy. I plan on being there most of the day (my mom volunteered to watch the baby ALL DAY!) I'm really getting excited, I think it's going to be a lot of fun, and am really looking forward to Colete Peters' demo. |

Hi all! It was an awesome day, at least I thought that it was. Met some really great people there and had a wonderful time.
I'm sorry I didn't get your reply earlier, KonfectionKonnection, but it was nice running into you accidentally, wish it could have been earlier in the day, though! Did you get Colette's autograph? She seems like a great lady.
And for those of you wondering, we can't say anything about who won until after Wilton officially announces the winners... that should be tomorrow. I'm not sure if they are going to post photo's or not on their website. |

Hey, T-Bird! I was so glad to get to meet you, too--I thought your cake looked really nice! I especially liked all of the flowers, but then spring is my favorite time of year.
Yes, I did get Colette's autograph. I had a great time watching the demos, meeting Colette, and even getting an autograph from Norman Wilton after his sugar art demo. I know it was a lot of work for all involved, but it's a shame they can't do this more often! |

I'm so disappointed that I didn't make it there. My husband ended up working WAY later than he had planned.  Next time though for sure! It sounds like you guys had tons of fun! |
