I just have to get this thought out...
How many of these "Bridezilla" type girls do you suppose have successful marriages? Seriously, when I got married, the main thing I was focused on was the fact that I was marrying the love of my life. I wasn't engrossed in each and every detail of my wedding, and even when something wasn't exactly how I had planned I didn't flip out over it.
I can't help but think that brides who freak out over details like their cake (or flowers or decorations or whatever) are actually freaking out because they are not getting married for the right reasons. No wonder the divorce rate is so high... |

Well... no calls from the CC company a week after the threat. I hope they were satisfied with dumping on me and gave up. Maybe all the guests called and gushed about the beautiful cake... yeah right. |

Wouldn't you know it...the day I last posted was the day I got the dispute notice. I included emails, photos, and my explanation. Hopefully the CC company will be fair. I will probably have to wait 30 days to find out anything! |

I am sure everything will be fine! If they had refused the cake on delivery, they might have a fight - but since they SERVED it I don't think they can expect a refund. Good luck and keep us posted!! |

I can't believe they really think they would win a credit card dispute, based on what you have presented here. I'm betting it's a cash flow ploy, and you're not the only one getting hosed. Too many bills, no enough dough, so let's dispute some stuff to delay the payments????
I think these shows like bridezilla, Super sweet 16, the "let's see how much we can spend to be on tv" wedding show ( can't think of the name) are encouraging people to act like this. We have developed a tolerance for horrible behavior, and glamorize it with these shows. it's becoming more and more common place and extreme.
I'm sorry you are having to deal with this! |

How horrible for you Jenn123. Every cake decorator's nightmare. I'm sure the people will look at what she sent you, look at your cake and dismiss her ridiculous claim against you. How are you feeling about it all now? |

I'll be mad if i lose but I'm not going to get stressed out about it. One complaint out of the MANY great compliments I get won't kill me. Especially since I think she's crazy. I was proud of the cake, so I just have to keep focused on the positive. |

Your cake was great-I would have been thrilled with it, as would most of the members here. Remember that...the decorators are usually the pickiest and we all like it. I'm hoping that everything works out in your favor. It's just not fair that you even have to go through this. |
