I hope you guys can help me...I have to quote a price for someone THIS WEEK! It's a girl's first birthday "princess castle" theme. The castle needs to feed atleast 140 people. What would you charge for each of these?:
The castle cake
with wilton towers- $??
OR
with handmade towers- $??
The carriage
(will be a smash cake)- $??
48 Standard size cupcakes
(nothing fancy) to go with the theme- $??
RI Tiara- $??
Any feedback will be awesome....thank you so much!
Here's a photo of the cake and carriage I would like to make...this photo is of bonjovibabe's display.

whoa! That is a BIG party for a 1 year old...! I would have to say that this family must have some cash to throw a such a big party....so don't sell yourself short!
I would probably charge $3 a serving for the cake, so that is about $420.
Then maybe $50 for the smash cake and 1-1.50 each for the cupcakes.

Not sure on pricing. All I have to say is WOW! 140 guests and she is only 1!!! Imagine her sweet 16!
These are the prices I would do if I were doing this:
The castle cake
with wilton towers- $420
OR
with handmade towers- $500
The carriage
(will be a smash cake)- $100
48 Standard size cupcakes
(nothing fancy) to go with the theme- $100
RI Tiara- $50
TOTAL: $620 or $700 (Depending on what towers you do)
I got these numbers based on $3 per serving for the cakes, and roughly $2 per cupcake. It also depends on whether or not you are using fondant...if you are I would add at least 50 cents per serving to the quote.
This may sound like a lot, but keep in mind that if I were making this cake for someone I would be spending at least 2 days solid making it, and when you figure the cost of supplies & labor, it really is pretty reasonable!
