OK, so I have this envisioned in my mind, but I can't quite get the bride to see the same thing I am so I told her I would try and find a pic. It would be this cake only with some blown sugar bubbles here and there to give it a more airy look..I think her cake will look grounded with the boxy chocolate cake, and the blown sugar bubbles would give it that magical airy look (her reception hall will have rough wood beams with toile and white lights wrapped around it, kinda that contrast of rough and whispy) I think the blown sugar bubbles would tie the cake into the theme of the reception hall perfectly....soooooooo, does anyone know of a picture like this...only with sugar bubbles added in? I can't seem to find any...oh how I wish I could print out the images in my mind!!!! Crying or Very sad

How about making a very small miniature cake with what you are talking about? That would give her the full effect!

Just thought I'd put that idea out there!

Boy, that'd be a dangerous thing, if you could print out the things in your mind. Cringing....... I'm no help about the cake question, just wanted to comment.

Ooooooo, good point! Could be scary! As far as the sample cake, I don't know how to do sugar bubbles, I would need to order them and they are 45 dollars for 35 of them and that doesn't include shipping. I am not sure I am willing to go that far...though it is a great idea. If I had the equipment and a babysitter I would have a go at it until I got it right and then show her...no luck though. Anyone else have pics...it has to be super similar to the cake in my initial post. I think my bride has dificulties with imagination...ya know??

Martha Stewart did a sugar bubble wedding cake one of her Wedding issues in 1998. There's a small picture on her website:

Where can you order sugar bubbles from?
Wish I could help on the other question. Can you print out that picture and just draw in some bubbles to kind of give the effect?

You could do like eriksmom said and then instead of drawing them on, print pictures of the sugar bubbles and glue them onto the pic where you would be placing them=) Jen
