ok, so i am a beginner and i have always used wilton's class buttercream....because that is what i was taught.
So, I keep hearing about this buttercream dream, i'm like ok i think i am going to try it......
well lo and behold. i do try it....I WILL NEVER GO BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am actually typing with 1 hand and beating my husband and my 4 y/o son off to keep away from the buttercream.
I told then they have to just stay away while i make this and keep out of my way for a little bit. yah right. fat chance of that happening!
I CAN"T KEEP THEM AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They love it. I can't put it any other way but
THANK YOU AGENT CAKE BAKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like it too... although I make it with cream instead of milk (as I keep more cream than milk in my fridge).

A couple of times that I've made it, I didn't add the entire amount of sugar and I liked it a little better without all that sugar.

I'm thinking about trying this but usually make a cooked buttercream or I love IMBC--how sweet is this?

I always use the buttercream dream.
I made some last night for a cake and I never sift my sugar until yesterday, and boy did that make a difference!!
The buttercream came out more fluffy and melted in your mouth. Fabulous!!

Can someone direct me to where I can find the buttercream dream recipe? I looked and looked trying to find it in recipes and did not see it and I and not too good at navigating on this site yet. Thanks for your help.

I make a similar recipe to this, but I add other flavorings for that "hmmmmm" factor. Wink

Is the buttercream dream a crusting buttercream?

EVERYBODY loved it, i am so happy.... i think next time i am going to try adding a different flavor....hmmm maybe raspberry or something else.
My husband is funny he said "...honey you know I'm watching my hips. But yea ok.... make it again, I don't care"
Even my SIL who is very picking said that this is her favorite.
Someone mentioned the IMBC and I do want to try that also.
I have to say...... I love this website, you are all wonderful.

How sweet is this compared to Wilton's, since it is a crusting BC?
