Okay Ladies, since you asked so sweetly, here is how I made these roses.
And no GrannyJ, I dont chew them.

You need chewing gum and round suckers. I used pink. You can use whatever color you want. Roll out chewing gum thinly . Brush a little water onto the sucker.
Using normal rose cutter or round cutter, cut out petals. Roll the top and side of each petal with a ball tool.
Cut out a small circle, cut this in half and roll onto top half of sucker. If it sticks, use a little cisco on sides.
Brush water on the sucker and continue placing your petals as you would normally do for roses.
It's very easy to make and children love these. They get to chew the gum and get a sucker at the same time. They also smell great.

I have never heard of using gum. What a fun idea. what kind of gum do you recommend?

sjlarby, you can use any kind of chewing gum as long as they as big pieces. I dont know what of gum you have wherever you are but here in Mauritius, we use a South African chewing gum called CHAPPIES. I'm sure you can get it there.

They are beautiful and along with gum and tootise rolles, you can also make these roses out of starburst candy chews! Thumbs Up!
