I think she needs to set up a service where we give her the phone number or email of a customer, and she sets them straight for us! I haven't have any problems yet (knocking on wood), but she always has the right answers, especially for pricing issues some customers may bring up. Not rude, but straight to the point, and a "I'm know what I am talking about, quit trying to weasel me down" tone. Authoritative- is that the description I'm looking for?
I can come up with a great answer or comeback, but always 30 minutes after the conversation! Someday I'll have a strong backbone, but in the meantime I need to find a bunch of debi-isms, and print them out, read them often, and hope to remember them.

Laughing Laughing Laughing I humbly appreciate the wonderful compliment, but you are so funny!

I remember remarking to my hubby one day years ago how "I just dont' think fast on my feet" and he told me "It has nothing to do with how fast you think ..... it's all the experience you've had in dealing with that situation." One day, I was talking to a co-worker who was lamenting over a situation. When I said, "Oh that's when you tell 'em blah blah blah" and she said "I wish I could think that fast." That's when the light bulb went off and I thought "Oh THAT'S what hubby was talking about!"

So it's not like I'm brilliant or anything (although I may debate you on that issue anyway! Laughing Laughing Laughing ). It's just that I'm old and have encountered way more twits in my life than you have!

I move that we start a thread on "Indydebi-isms." That way they're all at our fingertips! Laughing
