Everyone cross your fingers...I have 2 investors that contacted me about financing my bakery to get started. They are very interested and negotions have started..they are even paying for my lawyer's fees. One is a close physician that I work with and the other is my ex-professor in college. They both have more money than they know what to do with. I already have a licensed home based business and all the paperwork and stuff like that has been completed since April. They are so impressed with the way things are going and my products that they are willing to "help" get a store front going....and in return they each will receive the money they invest and only 3% of net profits for only 3 years then they are let out of the deal and it will be SOLELY MINE! In addition to cakes, I do assorted baked goods including organic (as all my products are) allergy-free, dairy-free, sugar-free and have even ventured into yeast free (breads, muffins etc). I am in a college town and the bakery that was here closed her store front back in Feb. and is only doing wedding and sculptured cakes now therefore I have cornered the market. With a town of 85,000+ people and biggest town in mid-missouri. YEAH! Should know more in the next couple of weeks-months. |

Wow! I'd say you have some guardian angels, but looking at your photos you are really talented (my fingers are crossed for you). Sounds like you have a nice niche with the speciality products you do (not many around here I've been able to find and I live in a large metro area (NYC)). Keep us posted and submit a pic of your storefront! |
