does anyone have an easier way to get color into ready-made fondant? or is kneading it in the only option?
i know with MMF its easiest to add it while in the process of melting but with the ready-made, kneading it in is the only way that i know of.
i'm just curious if i'm making this harder on myself than it has to be. |

Hi cakerator,
Someone on the forum yesterday (can't remember who it was) stated that they use a pasta machine to color the MMF. Can't see why it wouldn't work on regular fondant |

you can put it through the pasta machine, but the way I teach it in class is to twist and pull like taffy. Run the color lengthways along a snake of fondant, kneed it a couple of times, then start twisting and pulling like taffy. It spreads much faster and isn't as hard on the wrists. |
