You can. The only thing that happens when you take it out is condensation but just don't touch the thing till it's dry and it'll be fine. |

You can refrigerate it. Just use an electric fan for about a couple of hours to get rid of condensation. HTH. |

I've never even had much problems with condensation at all, I guess as long as its kept in a/c its usually fine. I always refrigerate all my cakes so they transport better. |

The only time I have had problems with fondant and cold is when I put fondant over frozen buttercream ( oh don't even ask about the results)
I put fondant in the fridge all the time, it helps the cake, icing, and fondant firm up for transportation. Works well. |

I have actually frozen cakes that are covered in fondant, just let them thaw 1 day in the fridge before you take it out. It's yummy!!!!!! |

Yep, I always refrigerate my fondant covered cakes. Heat and humidity may make them sweat but it evaporates in a couple of hours.

I only put fondant cakes in the fridge if it is really hot where they are sitting out. They might sweat a little, but so far, no other problems.

I would think it would melt anyways, the fridge having nothing to do with it. I had some fondant decorations melt on cupcakes because of heat/humidity and they were never in the fridge.
I would say that they don't need to be in the fridge as long as the house is semi cool - like room temp - then its fine.[/quote] |
