Are they just buttercream icing or was something else done to make them so fluffy looking? This cake was done by my local baker at HRH dumplins for my sons first birthday......[/b] |

They look like buttercream but those can certainly be achieved by using fondant. |

i have done similar clouds and i used a tip #12. but i think a #10 might be ok too. |

Here's a cake with some clouds similar to those that I did. I used a tip #10, if you want bigger clouds use a bigger tip....you could even do it with just a coupler if you had to.
I just piped a little mound and then drug it towards the center for the bottom part of the cloud, then piped mounds on top of that to give it more of a 3-D look. Just mess around with a round tip, it's really very easy!

Those are just flattened out BC balls. And you can use a coupler without the seam. |
