I use paper towels to wipe out my bowls and clean up the excess shortening. Tired of all my dishtowels getting grease soaked. It just doesn't come out.

I used chocolate frosting and colored it black. Or you can color it brown and then add black. Also give it time for the color to "mature".

My dad built it when I had a restaurant a few years ago. It is a whole sheet of plywood on the top 4' x 8'. it gives me room for buttercream work at one end and fondant stuff at the other end.
