| i also use both. it depends on what you like. some scratch cakes can be dry or i find that so many people are used to box cakes that they dont like them. my fav is doctored cake mixes. you get the bes ... |

its really important to let your cake settle before you put fondant or your final bc on the cake.
i try to let mine settle for 12-24 hours.

| yes get a diamond cutter. a square turned side ways isnt a perfect diamond shape. there are various sizes available too. |
