I make my own fondant using the MMF fondant recipe found on here. It does take a little elbow work but it tastes great and it can be colored whatever color you want.

If you rub it with oil it gets shiny as a mirror! looks like those shiny tapping shoes. |

My favorite are the PME cutters with plungers. I love the leaves ones (rose and ivy) and all the flowers (Sunflower, Gerbera, Daisy set is gorgeous!). They're so easy to use and such time savers.

MMF is the one for me too!
If you think it's too sweet you can try substituting some cornstarch for sugar. I tried it once because I hadn't got enough sugar to make it  |

I always make all my figures with MMF, but I have never added gum tex.
MMF has been enough for me, besides, you can't find gum tex here in Portugal  |

I have the KA pasta maker and I have only put fondant through it once and it just ripped and tore. Was it to dry for the machine? If I use a rolling pin it rolls out beautifully. Any ideas?
