| Wooden dowels supplied by companies such as wilton are food safe. Wooden spoons we all have in our kitchens are food safe too!! |

| I think it would be easier to paint cookie sticks or lollipop sticks with black/grey food coloring (dilute of course)(or even the food writer markers). Let dry. Then insert into cake. Good Luck. |

| We are all our worst critics. I have all 3 of Sharon Zamito's DVDs and they are well worth the money spent. I think your best bet is to get her 1st DVD-perfecting the art of buttercream. Good Luck. |
