I think it depends on the crack and the design.
for a single tier straight cake, I have iced a crack layer and it was fine.
again. it was a simple round cake - not required to bare any weight.

if you thought it was more timeconsuming than your typical cake (which I SURE IT WAS) then I'd upcharge your base persiving price $.50 to $1

and I have two different chocolate versions.
(both are for "one box" not two)

one I call a dark mocha-chocolate.

I can't give you a definite answer, but I think of the raspberry filling like jam - refigerate. When I mix it with buttercream, I believe that the buttercream stablizes it and then it needs less refri ...
