Halloween mummy cake topper

How to make a Halloween mummy model for your cakes!

In this modelling tutorial Zoe shows you how to make a cute bobble head mummy on a cake board, ideal to use as a cake topper for Halloween! She uses modelling and flower paste / gum paste / sugar paste to make my mummy character but you could also use fimo / sculpey / polymer clay if you do not want your Halloween model to be edible. In the video she uses a 60mm Polystyrene ball inside the mummy's head to keep the model light and from tipping over, if you are going to eat your model, try using rice krispie treats instead, alternatively you can just use modelling paste, but you will find this makes your cake topper very heavy and it may even tip over if not balanced well.
