Welcome Spring! We love to see the tulips break through the frost, signaling Spring is here, and we love to see how you’ve incorporated them on cakes. Check out these top cakes with tulips, perfect any time of year.
Just playing around to see how to create the cascade for this cake. This cake is the back of a recycled dummy, from my magazine ad. The flowers are some of the ones I made for a wedding coming up in June. The bride chose just about every flower under the sun! Gumpaste casablanca lilies, calla lilies, tulips, lilacs, and stephanotis (not included in this photo) all in spring pastels. The wedding cake I’m making for her is going to be pale purple fondant and only 3 tiers, but 5 sprays of flowers.

Fondant covered cake with tulip cutouts using the Patchwork cutters.

Thanks for looking!!!

My first attempt at gumpaste flowers. I need to thank the internet because a lady had offered a full how-to for tulips on her blog. The pot is all cake, covered in fondant, the dirt is oreo cookie crumbs.
Iced with royal, with a little luster dust
Round cookies decorated with marshmallow fondant. I used very basic cutters to make these elegant little tulips. Great for spring!

This is a buttercream cake with tulips designed by the bride. The ribbons are real, and the groom made the W topper out of wood. The black icing is chocolate with black coloring added so that it wouldn’t bleed onto the white buttercream.
