Tatiana Ho’s (DeliciaDesigns) fashion-inspired metallic masterpiece took our breath away in the most recent FASHION ISSUE of Cake Central Magazine (Volume 4, Issue 9). Her cake encompasses the bold and unapologetic nature of the stunning Valentino piece that was its inspiration.
Here’s what Tatiana had to say about turning this showstopper into sugar art:
“Upon seeing the inspiration photo, I knew I had to focus my design on the couture embroidered scrollwork. I decided that extruding the deep-set red and forming the various scrollworks onto two different tiers would capture this gorgeous, raised design. I picked nude and gold colors to accompany the burnt red, which was to be showcased as the focal point. To complete the look, I added a simple shimmering gold stiletto on top. Overall, I was pleased with how the design came together on cake and truthfully had a hard time foreseeing it all until its completion.”
