The Nature of Love : Wedding cake

The Nature of Love : Wedding cake By priyamaclure
Inspiration for this cake came from a piece of fabric. I wanted to incorporate different techniques for the tiers. Top and third tier are hand painted with the 2D birds. Second and tier were covered with pleats to bring contrast and depth into the design.

This fabric inspired wedding cake by PriyaMaclure is absolutely stunning. PriyaMaclure’s use of multi-dimensional sugarwork is sensational. The flow of hand-painted florals and gumpaste flowers matched with intricately painted birds and fondant pleating is absolute artistry.

I am in love with the fantastic wedding candy bar by odrycakes! The mix of naked cakes, cupcakes, sweet treats and decorations are just lovely and so well-coordinated.

The use of color on this bridal shower cake by SteelPennyCakes is perfect! I love the cerulean blue with coral.

Rabbit Wedding Cake

Rabbit Wedding Cake by button-moon

Based on two illustrations the groom had done for the bride.

This sweet wedding cake by button-moon features two of my favorite things— cute little critters and London! The storybook-inspired imagery and the 3-D details of the knapsack, the little bunny mailing a letter and the darling shrub accents instantly take me back to childhood.
