I think these cakes are absolutely adorable, but I don't have to cut into this cake. When I think about it in the aspect of cutting it up to serve to people the cake goes from adorable to grotesque really fast! I have done multiple's of this cake, everyone having a baby around here wants one of these bad boys. They are pretty quick to put together and get out the door, so I enjoy making them, but I always make a face when the momma to be sends me a picture of the cake receiving it's "C" section!

The cake is wonderful. It is so lifelike.

Like a lot of cakes, I think they are cute and enjoy making them, but would cringe cutting it. A little creepy at that point.

I think they are adorable & very fun to make! I don't think it is creepy at all. It's not like it is a real belly... it's just cake.

These do not bother me as much as the baby cakes. That makes me squirm.

They can work as long as the proportions are correct. How many of these have you seen that have the "mickey mouse ear" boobs?!? :)

I wasn't that crazy about them, but I made one for my daughter in law on request and everyone loved it! I agree that the proportions need to be correct and they need to be tastefully done. It's not a bachelor party, and to much boobs is creepy for a baby shower.

I think this one is cute; however, I do not enjoy the actual baby cakes. I saw one that was a Red Velvet cake with some sort of red filling. When it was cut it looked like they were cutting up the baby. I did not enjoy that and I don't think I would ever make one.

I agree with some of the other posters....as long as the proportions are right they are ok. I wasn't crazy about them but my cousin's daughter requested one and I was very happy with how it turned out. What I DON'T like is when they are done with the foot impression on the belly. That actually grosses me out a little...haha.
