Made this cake for my nephew, he’s a bull rider in the rodeo. (I think he’s absolutely crazy!) I used a couple of cake pictures his wife gave me, and also looked at the wonderful photo’s here on CC. Thanks everyone for the inspiration! They were very happy with the cake!
This is the cake I mentioned in the forum, that the customer is not happy about. It really feels very dissapointing. It is of course inspired by the cake of Jayne Cunningham, I love her design and gave it a rodeo twist.
This is a cake I did for a girl’s 17th birthday. It’s all buttercream with fondant accents. I got part of the idea from another cake I saw here on CC. Thanks!

I was asked to do a cake for a wild west themed party for a brother and sister who were 18 and 21, the customer said maybe a 3 tier cake with cowboy stuff and cactus and things but i will leave it up to you. I came up with this and thankfully they were chuffed to bits everything on the cake is edible
These are all the cookies that were placed into a mini hay bail to match the theme. It came out cute. Because the event was outside, it dried out the cookies. I’ve never had that happen.
Giddy Up Partner! This two layered cake featured a hand made belt and red rose accents.

I was initially disapointed when my husband told me he wanted a wild west theme for his 30th birthday party but when I started making this cake I got really into it! Cake is a mississipi mudcake covered in fondant with fondant and gumpaste figurines.
My boss and I worked on this one together today. Got the inspiration from Cake Corner.
I made this cake in 2006, but neglected to post it here. It’s kinda fun because if you do an internet search for “cowgirl cakes”, several variations of this cake will come up. How cool is that?? Iced in buttercream with fondant hat and accents.
Shoes, Hat, Belt & Rope all made of gumpaste…. Enjoy!
Chocolate layer cake covered in fondant. Thanks to TheCakeMaker for the wonderful advice! For my dad, the cowboy.

Done for a western themed wedding vow renewal ceremony. All cakes and decorations are MMF.I was supposed to make this cake a little bigger, but customer wanted it on the small side. 9″ 7″ and 5″.
We created this barnyard themed birthday cake for little Dylan’s 2nd birthday! This red velvet cake is filled with whipped cream and covered in fondant. The bottom tier is decorated with rolling grassy hills and a brown fence. The piggy, cow, duck, and tractor are all hand made in fondant. The second tier is decorated to look like the sky with the birthday boy’s name and his age. The cowboy boot cake topper is also made of fondant and very well may be our favorite part of the cake!!!
Requested western cowboy theme for baby shower. First time for rope border, cowboy hat & boots which were done in fondant as accents on buttercream. Fun cake thanks for looking.
A great tutorial on CC got me started with this cake! My gumpaste brimdidn’t really have enough drying time, so the curled edge drooped a bitmore than I would have liked. The button things actually have somedetail that you cant see in the picture. I used a daisy center stamp andlighed brushed it with gold luster dust. I piped the bandana pattern, butnot as well as I would have liked! But if you squint it looks pretty good LOL!
a 6″ on a 10″. BC iced with fondant accents., hat made with rice treats and a GP brim.
Made this one for a little girl who wanted both a tiara and a cowboy hat! Her party was held on a farm.
Cake was iced in buttercream and decorated with buttercream paisley pattern on the bottom tier and fondant “leather” strips on the top tier. Cake was topped with hand-made gum paste cowgirl boot and hat.
Fondant covered cake, rope, pocket and bandana. The lettering (found here on CC in the Sketches and Templates gallery) and barbed wire are black bc.
