Dear Jackie, I live in Windhoek, Namibia. Its on the west coast of Africa. If you look at a map you will see that we are just "above" South Africa. The climate in summer goes up to 40 degrees (about 104F) in your terms. I came accross CakeCentral while watching the program of CakeBoss. I immediately fell in love with all the beautiful cakes etc and decided to give it a try. I am an artist and just love making all these flowers. I told my friends "if I can paint it, I can make it". Since starting about 4 months ago I never stopped. I got all the recipies from the internet. The cutters were another story. We do not get cutters here so I had to improvise and make my own. For that I have to thank the Coca-Cola company because most of my cutters are made out of their "tins". For roling pins I had to go to my brother's workshop (he is a mechanical engineer) and even today if I need something, that's the first place I go to. You will not believe what one can find in a mechanical workshop!! The more I learn the more I want to make flowers etc. We have a lot of drawbacks in my beloved country i.e. watching a video over the internet. It takes hours!! We cannot even order stuff over the internet and use our credit cards. Here we have to do a telegraphic transfer into an account if we want to buy something. Our currency is also such that we pay about 9+ Namibian Dollars (NAD) for 1 USD. Luckily your site is such that I can get a lot of information to keep me going. For this I am very very glad.

I just want to let you know that even here in Africa someone is watching and reading all your info and how to make flowers etc.

Kindest Regards.

Zanti
