If you are entering a cake in the wedding cake competition, be sure to bring it by the Cake Central Magazine photo booth on Saturday morning to get it photographed for our coverage of the OSSAS and meet Jackie and the editors!

As summer winds down, we certainly have fall on our minds, and we bet you can guess why. The Cake Central team is going to the 19th annual Oklahoma State Sugar Art Show! The cake extravaganza will take place September 29-30, and we hope to see you there. The show, hosted by none other than Kerry Vincent, includes a decorating competition, demonstrations, classes and a royal iced cake board.

The competition allows decorators across the country to vie for a chance to be declared Grand National Champion sugar artist and to display their cakes in the show, which is open to the general public. The winning cake will be featured on the cover of Cake Central Magazine.

Wedding cake competitors must be at the semi-professional level or above, but any competitor can enter without entering the wedding cake competition. There will also be a special category for Cricut users. The baking competition, Cupcake Crazy, judges skill in baking and decorating. There will also be a royal iced cake board competition.

There will also be daily show demonstrations conducted by celebrity edible art stars Martin Howard and Orlando Serrano. After the competition, decorators can attend a class taught by Orlando Serrano and his assistant, Miguel Garcia.
