Fondant Elsa, Anna and Olaf

In this Disneys Frozen cake tutorial I show you how to make a fondant / modelling paste Elsa cake topper to use on your frozen themes cakes. Modelling paste may be better to use then fondant for our Elsa cake doll, modelling paste and gum paste are the same thing. I have decided to make this Elsa cake figure from the Disney film Frozen because of its high popularity and people asking me to make a tutorial for it.

You can see at the end of the video tutorial I place Elsa on a Frozen cake with her sister Anna, you can watch the fondant Anna cake decorating tutorial here:

These tutorials are fabulous. I am going to attempt to make the Frozen characters for my nieces upcoming birthday. Would it be possible to give me the weights of the modeling paste used for the bodies, heads, etc. Also, what brand /color dusting powders are used? Any tips you could give would be greatfully appreciated. Thanks. Lisa

Hi Lisa, I honestly wouldn't like to say about the weight as I didn't weigh them. I usually use Renshaws for modelling paste. I use petal craft colours and sugarflair paints.

You could always print out a picture to the scale you want of Elsa for example. and then just keep holding your model up against it to check size wise that it is how you want it. :) Thanks for watching

Awesome! just what I needed for my great nieces birthday.  I am a disaster at models as don't practise and only do my close family cakes so am grateful for your fab tutorial which you explain clearly and make it look so simply though I know it isn't . Keep up good work and thank you again!!!
