My best butter cake

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups cake flour 1 1/3 cups sugar 3 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 cup butter softened 1 cup milk 1 1/4 tsp. vanilla 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Sift dry ingredients together in bowl. Add softened butter, milk, and vanilla. Mix 1 min. scrape bowl and add eggs. beat about 2 min. scraping sides of bowl.
  2. Pour into 2 greased and floured 8 baking pans. Bake at 350 for 30 to 35 min. or until toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Cool 10 to 15 min. remove from pan and cool completely on wire rack before frosting.
